In my extensive collection of recipe books there are bigger, better illsutrated books with more exotic recipes.
But the one which has stood the test of time, to which I go back for basic, tried and true recipes is the old, spiral bound Edmonds Cookery Book.
It was first printed in 1955, my edition was printed in 1980.
