Capital cities in a bubble

David Farrar shows the results of the Australian Voice referendum.

All states and the Northern Territory had significant majorities for those voting against the proposal. Only Act, home of the federal government, had a majority voting yes.

On this side of the Tasman, New Zealand’s capital Wellington, managed to withstand the blunami and voted red and green.

Is it too long a bow to draw to say that this is evidence that people in cities where there is a big number of bureaucrats and people working with and for government are in a bubble?

Does it show that in that bubble they are out of touch with the mood in the rest of the country?

Is this why we’ve had so many impractical rules and unpopular policies imposed on us in the last six years?

Dare we hope a new government with so many electorate MPs everywhere but the capital will make a positive difference?

The teal movement is rather disconnected from the real world.
The commentator on The ABC was quite sneering in claiming all those with a degree voted yes while those dumb people who diid not graduate voted no.

Ray Martin a TV celeb has suddenly found a great grand parent of Aboriginal blood to justify his condescending statement the No voters claiming lack of understanding as to what exactly was being decided were dinosaurs and dickheads.
The rivers of tears including a week of mourning, flying the first nation flag at half mast, and predictions of further division flies in the face of Democracy.

Airbus Albo could regain a little of what he has lost by resigning as Cameron did after the Brexit vote but no as a socialist he just doubles down and seeks someone to blame, when it was his arrogance and demonstration of being out of touch with the real Stralia.
Trying to get a major change to the constitution without gaining consensus was a massive fail.
