A blunami has swept the country, more than reversing the red tide of 2020.
There’s a message here for those thinking new parties can succeed, or that support when standing for a major party will transfer to a candidate who jumps ship.
The NZ Herald shows the extent of the bluenami:
Our next Prime Minister, Christopher Luxon said:
Thank you so much and thank you New Zealand … you have reached for hope and you have voted for change,” the National leader told supporters, prompting loud cheers.
“I am immensely proud to say that on the numbers tonight, National will be able to lead the next government,” he said
“My pledge to you is that our government will deliver for every New Zealander.
That won’t be easy but it will be a welcome change from the divisive government of the past six years which mistook talking for doing and announcing for delivering.
P.S.
Another blunami swept Wales out of the Rugby World Cup in Marseille this morning with the Pumas winning 29-17.
