Denying facts if the facts don’t fit your prejudices is a widely used political ploy.

Marxism doesn’t fit with the facts.

Therefore, it became necessary for Marxists not merely to deny the facts but to deny that factuality itself exists.

A relatively recent example is trans activists who deny the biological fact that sex is binary and by extension that women are adult human females.
