Saturday’s soapbox is yours to use as you will – within the bounds of decency and absence of defamation. Effective leadership is not about making speeches or being liked; leadership is defined by results not attributes.– Peter Drucker

I think a qualifier is needed to Drucker’s quote. A proper leader makes necessary decisions rather than running from them [if the decision might cause any upset]
In the case of Dear Leader who has just resigned there is the instance of Meka Whaitiri, accused of assaulting her staff, but nothing done about it.
The case of 12 women accusing someone in the Prime Minister’s office {across the road in Bowen St} of sexual assault; they had to go to Paula Bennett because no-one would listen to them. Dear Leader swept it under her carpet.
And while I mention the later case, I could never understand the Sisterhood being so comfortable with that state of affairs. In the age of #me-too, Arden should have been run out of town for the heinous treatment of her staff.
