Assuming the picture were correct, the statement is fundamentally wrong.
Cows which produce lots of milk are precisely here to produce milk for humans. They are bred and continue to be bred precisely for that purpose.
Were we (as a species) to abandon milk and meat consumption, what would we do with all these farm animals that would now serve no actual purpose.
Culling would be most humane I suppose, or we could just let them fend for themselves, which many or them are no longer able to.
