Quote of the day

Politics, the crooked timber of our communal lives, dominates everything, because, in the end, everything — high and low and, most especially, high — lives or dies by politics. You can have the most advanced and efflorescent of cultures. Get your politics wrong, however, and everything stands to be swept away. This is not ancient history. This is Germany 1933. – Charles Krauthammer who was born on this day in 1950.

Excellent quote. Most decisions and actions from this government make me very nervous for the future of our country. They do not seem to understand consequences … or, maybe they do. Helen Clark, Michael Cullen and Heather Simpson are running our country … unelected, discarded ex-politicians, Ardern has no understanding of business and spends far too much time getting into the minds of children, our future voters. And, half-way through their term, they still haven’t had advice back from all the study groups … scary stuff !
