    1. Richard Rogers and Lorenz Hart. Billie Holliday has the best version followed by the Marcels IMHO

    2. At least 4. I think that 3 were written for shows and only one was used.

    4. Elvis Presley, recorded in 1954. The song was written and recorded by Monroe as a Bluegrass Waltz but was recorded by Elvis as a 4/4 Rock or Rockabilly song.

    It is interesting that Bill Monroe’s recording with his band “The Bluegrass Boys” was a big hit. Two of his band were Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs who later formed their own group “The Foggy Mountain Boys” who had a big hit with the theme from the TV series “The Beverley Hillbillies”
