    As a farmer – albeit no longer actively farming – I found this guys perspective refreshing, and a message I hadn’t considered in depth before. It certainly deserves further thought.

    It does not try to absolve the farmer of his/her responsibility to produce food in a manner that minimises the impact on the environment around us, but it does point out the reliance of the vast majority of the population on the farmer for their daily sustenance.

    Could you survive for more than a week or two with only food you produced yourself?
