366 days of gratitude

I had to ring 111 last night.

The woman who answered my call, the woman she passed me to and the police officer in Oamaru who three of us went in to see, all made the experience as painless as possible in what were emotional circumstances.

That positive experience with the police was reinforced today with two follow-up phone calls from the officer.

The event that precipitated the call had a happy out come and I’m very grateful for that.

I’m also grateful for the service the police provided and when I happened to see the Minister of Police today I told him so.
