It is easy to take for granted what you see every day, but the view from my kitchen window (a snapshot of which you can see above) is always changing.
Sometimes there are clouds and sometimes the clouds are coloured by the sun rise or set; sometimes it’s clear. Sometimes there used to be sheep in the paddock, now sometimes there are cows. Sometimes it’s raining, usually it’s fine and every now and the, as the photo shows, there’s a rainbow.
When I first moved here I couldn’t see any other houses, now thanks to irrigation and the jobs it’s created, there are three, though the closest is several hundred metres away.
Each time I look, thanks to changes in light, weather or season I see the same view differently.
Today I’m grateful for the view and the many ways I get to see it.
