366 days of gratitude

My hearing wasn’t as good as it should be.

GPs or their nurses used to syringe ears but the danger of damaging ear drums stops them doing it now. Instead you have to go to a clinic to have your ears suctioned. I kept meaning to make an appointment for that but I kept forgetting.

Last weekend one ear became completely blocked. I rang for an appointment first thing on Monday but the first one available was this afternoon and oh what a relief it was to have the problem sorted.

In the last few days I’ve had an insight into what it is to be partially deaf and I didn’t like it.

Now my ears are working properly I’m appreciating the ability to hear properly and grateful for the skill and technology that fixed my problem.
