366 days of gratitude

When hot cross buns and Easter eggs started appearing in supermarkets in January I decided I would neither buy nor eat any until the appropriate day.

Sometimes I bake hot cross buns, this year I bought half a dozen and ate my first for lunch.

I savoured it and enjoyed it all the more for having waited.

Today I’m grateful for small pleasures enjoyed all the more for having been deferred.

We have sneaked the ‘odd’ one this week, HP, but admire your patience.
My one is to buy a pottle of my favorite ice-cream and bring it home, into the fridge, and wait till the next evening to open it it!!
