Sunday soapbox

Sunday’s  soapbox is yours to use as you will – within the bounds of decency and absence of defamation. You’re welcome to look back or forward, discuss issues of the moment, to pontificate, ponder or point us to something of interest, to educate, elucidate or entertain, amuse, bemuse or simply muse but not to abuse.

Life is amazing. And then it’s awful again. And in between the amazing and the awful it’s ordinary and mundane and routine. Breathe in the amazing, hold on through the awful, and relax and exhale during the ordinary. That’s just living heartbreaking, soul-healing, amazing, awful, ordinary life. And it’s breathtakingly beautiful. – L.R. Knost

“Life is amazing, then its challenging. In between the amazing and the challenging is the time to reflect on the amazing, and prepare for the challenging. There is nothing ordinary or mundane about life. It is within you to make sure of this.”

New Zealand will commit up to $200 million to support countries’ climate change efforts – and $20 million toward ground-breaking research to slash agricultural greenhouse gases.

Good to see that New Zealand has all this spare money to flush down the toilet

What about health, education, roads and all the other things the citizens whose money Mr Key is so cavalierly throwing away need?

National Party supporters should hang their heads in shame at this disgraceful waste of taxpayers money
