Saturday soapbox

Saturday’s soapbox is yours to use as you will – within the bounds of decency and absence of defamation. You’re welcome to look back or forward, discuss issues of the moment, to pontificate, ponder or point us to something of interest, to educate, elucidate or entertain, amuse, bemuse or simply muse but not to abuse.

A suggestion: could you please date the Sat/Sun soapbox so that readers, get get updated news rather than those that appear to be running for weeks

  2. andrei says:

Oh Poor Richard found yourself lost in the endless labyrinth of an ancient open thread did you?

    Updated News you seek?

In this age of mass communication ’tis hard to find alas

Apart from the RWC the only other matter of importance to engage the attention of our tiny minds has been the collapse of an (ex) Kardashian spouse during a drug fuelled orgy in a Nevada whorehouse.

Meanwhile the world continues to go to hell in a handbasket without our notice…..

  3. Richard says:

Ah –Kardashian family — that’s a family that is going to hell in a handbasket- more from you Andrei on the Syrian/Russian issue on Sunday Soapbox dated 25 Oct?

  4. andrei says:

more from you Andrei on the Syrian/Russian issue on Sunday Soapbox dated 25 Oct?

It is far far bigger than the “Syrian/Russian issue” Richard

That bit is ground zero for now perhaps and something the media cannot ignore but we live in very interesting times – history is being made while we avidly discuss pony tail tweaking politicians and fret over sea level rises measurable only at the bare limits of detectability.

Where this goes I don’t know

  5. homepaddock says:

Richard – I’ll try to remember that next week, but if I forget, go to that day’s post and you’ll see if any comments are left on it, rather than clicking on the comment link in the sidebar where you can’t differentiate between what’s current and what’s part of an interminable discussion if the heading is the same.
