    1. Khalil Gibran, from Lebanon I believe and is one of the best selling poets of all time. Died in the early 1930’s from memory.
    2.. Thomas Hughes and it was sort of autobiographical as it is about Tom and his life at Rugby School in the 1830’s which is the period that the author attended the school.

    4. Otago Girls High School and I think they started just a few years before Christchurch Girls High. Dunedin was also the home of the first golf club in NZ
    5. What I consider a great teacher is one who inspire you to learn. In all my schooling I can only recall 2 inspiring teachers, one from Standard 4 and an English teacher in Form 4. Both had the ability to draw me into wanting to learn. Probably it was more my fault in being more interested in other things. I definitely have learnt more since I left school.
