J Bloggs and paranormal both scored 2 1/2.

    1. Taupo New Zealand
    2. Rodrigues Island, part of Mauritius in the Indian Ocean 2936 miles away. It was also heard in Perth.
    3. 7 times. It was measured on barographs all around the world.
    4. Between 45 and 50 metres as the buildings were 135 feet above sea level.
    5. None of the island remained but the two bordering islands survived and increased in size. However, since then due to volcanic activity the island reappeared in January 1928 and on 3 February in a four hour period almost 12,000 detonations were recorded. Later that year it slid beneath the sea again only to reappear for a short period in late 1929. On 11 August 1930 it made its final attempt to resurface and two days later an extremely violent eruption burst forth and produced Anak Krakatoa or Child of Krakatoa which has since grown to about the same size as its parent.
Krakatoa is in the Sundra Strait between Java and Sumatra in Indonesia.

One further point is that in 1884 pumice and remains of bodies were washed ashore in Zanzibar on the east coast of Africa.

I will give J Bloggs and Paranormal a further point for their answers to question 3 as the shock waves were measured 4 time out and 3 times back in.
