Saturday soapbox

Saturday’s soapbox is yours to use as you will – within the bounds of decency and absence of defamation. You’re welcome to look back or forward, discuss issues of the moment, to pontificate, ponder or point us to something of interest, to educate, elucidate or entertain, amuse, bemuse or simply muse but not to abuse.

Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive. – Howard Thurman

One Response to Saturday soapbox

  1. Andrei says:

World War 3 is coming – it is actually underway.

While Mein Kampf might be the book that laid the blueprint for the last great conflagration this is the book of the war to come

It was written as Yugoslavia was being dismembered – the narrative of that crime you hold on to is that the interventions in the Balkans in those years were for “humanitarian” reasons and that the elected leadership of Federal Yugoslavia were brutal dictators engaged in “ethnic cleansing”. It wasn’t as it was portrayed and now Kosovo, lands separated from Serbia by bombing Serbia until its industry and infrastructure were destroyed and it handed it over hosts the largest American military base in Europe which dominates the Balkans

Kosovo is a poor place, occupied by “peacekeepers”

You may have heard of ethnic strife in neighbouring Macedonia a couple of weeks back – 20 Police men were killed along with a large number of “ethnic Albanians” – but what you will never read is the bodies of the dead “ethnic Albanians” were returned to their families in “Kosovo”

The next attack, the next flare up, is coming in a place you never probably heard of Transdniester, the issues there beyond your ken

The signs are unmistakable and Russia will be blamed and if it reacts will be accused of “aggression”.

A war in Europe will be very profitable for those who live on the other side of the Atlantic and the blood that flows, the human hardship that results mean less than nothing.

What occurred in Libya should have opened peoples eyes but it hasn’t, another high tech “humanitarian intervention”, another failed state

Is there anything we can do?

No it is all in God’s hands and he will judge the malefactors in his own good time
