Interesting choice – A Mughal poet who lived when the British Raj was extending its reach over India.

And a quote which brings out the duality of man

We think the age of empires is over but it isn’t

The Empire that Orwell called Oceania still rules the waves, its no longer Britannia but Pax Americana

Independant India emerged as a foundation state of the non aligned movement (the hope for humanity in my view), Yugoslavia was a member too- that is why it was destroyed, dismembered to be absorbed piecemeal into Oceania, a process still underway with only the Catholic portions of those lands fully subdued

Apologies for being weird, If you don’t want to think too deeply you can go to other blogs and talk about ponytailgate or perhaps watch “Batchelor New Zealand” on Demand

Andrei, you don’t need to apologise and you’re not being weird for contributing informed and on-topic comments.
