It’s September 12th here in New Zealand, but still the 11th in the USA where they are remembering the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

Brian Andreas wrote this to honour and mark the tragedy.

There were so many deaths then and so many since in all corners of the world which reinforce the need for and wonder of arms grown strong with love.

innocent people, nowadays called ‘collateral damage’.

But how innocent? When an Empire (or as Fuller calls them, the in-pirates) does what it does – pull resources from elsewhere (Age of Empires 101) – there will be folk living in that ‘elsewhere’ who will feel disenfranchised.

Often, they lack leadership and just produce cheap shirts, cheap whiteware, or eke out an existence in slums. Remember, there isn’t enough planet to go around, so above 2 billion or so, someone is going to miss out.

Now, if you were an out-pirate (getting your oil nicked from under you, in this case) what would you target, for maximum return ?

It was only a matter of time. It’s not just freedom that requires eternal vigilance, dominance requires it too. There are a lot of folk who would rather avoid thinking about that.

Enough of getting maudlin over the victims of 9/11 already.

For every American that died that day (and I mourn them) America has killed 1000 elsewhere in their “war on terror”, half of who were not even born when this happened and live in places that had no connection to this event.

And in 2014 on the eve of the anniversary of this yet another Sovereign Nation is in the bomb sights of the USA – this time Syria, which is “harbouring” a terrorist organization that was actually funded and created by the USA in the first place to destabilize Syria
