Inflation hurts

Question of the day:

It was prompted by Labour’s threat to meddle with the Reserve Bank.

Inflation effectively cuts wages by reducing buying power and it erodes the value of savings.

Some Labour MPs were in government in the 1980s when inflation was nearly ten times higher than it is now and interest rates were in the mid to high 20s.

Have they forgotten, have they no influence on their caucus or do they just not care?

I don’t want to go on and on and on and on about the Greens BUT it’s important that we all imagine what they will do the inflation and interest rates when combined with what Labour is talking about (and their past). If National do lose then GO WINSTON1st, you are only hope.

Of course they care …… about getting back into power.
Remember, the poorer NZ is, the more people will vote for redistribution and the left wing parties to deliver that. If it is at the cost of make everyone (including the poor) poorer, well that works too.

Quote of the Year! It’s all you do, Jabba. You are obsessed with the Greens, or “Gweens” as you call them, drawing a belly-laugh from every Homepaddock reader each time you apply that ‘special’ humour of yours.
You dream about the Greens, I suspect, every night, hink about them as you chew on your toast in the morning, fantasize about them as you pull on your ‘jamies every night.
” I don’t want to go on and on and on and on about the Greens…”

    Then, why do you?
