The Minister of Social Development has a role in ensuring those in need get help.

But giving children the best possible start and ensuring they thrive and achieve requires more than benefits and is first and foremost the responsibility and duty of their families.

Excellent words but empty ones until Government policies are about strengthening and supporting families instead of the steady stream of policies that have been enacted to undermine and weaken them.

A couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, of all things our political leaders of all parties gathered to worship at the alter of the Gods of Sexual Hedonism – disgusting displays of political greasiness from them all as they pandered to the basest of human instincts to win a few votes before passing the next law that will further undermine the basic unit of civilized society – The Family
