    (2) Truby king, There was a Governor General of that name (Plunket) around that time, coincidence or connection, I wouldn’t know

    (3) Birth

    (4) George – was a common name for Hanoverian monarchs and was also the name of the little prince’s great-great grandfather who was George VI

    Alexander – Greek Royal family have used this name, Prince Philip is a scion of this family is this the connection?

    Louis – is this from the Mountbattens, (Battenbergs)? Again a Prince Philip connection if so

    2. Truby King. I guess with a name like Truby even Plunket sounds normal.

    4. I figure they are all royal names…George a good English name, The French had endless Louis’, and I think Alexander was popular with the Czars.
    5. I’ve never liked William much, but at 50 I seem to be getting used to it.

    1 absolutely no ideas on this.
    2 Dr Truby King, a reforming Dr who encapsulated his very practical ideas on infant Health, Security and development for mothers dealing with myths and practices that often had deleterious effects on the health and growth of the very young.
    Lord Plunket was the govenor General at the time and also had his name perpetrated in the supremacy of district cricket competing for the “Plunket Shield”.
    For reasons of location I was not a “Plunket” baby and from where I sit It was of no cosequence as I still benefitted from King’s foresight and practical theories on child raising and Health and wellbeing
    3 Birth.
    4 George is the common familial name of the house of Hanover and subsequently carried forward by the renamed house of Windsor with the current Monarch Elizabeth’s father George the XI.
    Alexander was a bit of a surprise but has a connection with the Consort of the current monarch’s husband Prince Phillip of Greece and the Lious comes through the Mountbatten history of The Duke of Edinborough and his Uncle, The last Vice Roy of India and Supreme Commander of the Eastern command in WW2, Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten, assinated by the IRA and a mentor to the Heir to the throne Charles Prince of Wales, Williams Father.
    I had wondered if the The Duchess of Cambridge’s Dad, Michea,l might have surfaced somewhere.
    5 Never thought about a change, I accept my parents decision to name me Murray with my second christian name honoring my Maternal grandad.
    I am me, and that is a fact I am comfortble with, had I ended up Tarquin, Algy, Lindsay, Adolf or Benito, I may have felt differently.
