Sunday soapbox

Sunday’s soapbox is yours to use as you will – within the bounds of decency and absence of defamation.

You’re welcome to look back or forward, discuss issues of the moment, to pontificate, ponder or point us to something of interest, to educate, elucidate or entertain, to muse or amuse.

:) kindest, Boris

So, here’s a neat piece on the silly regulation of wine:

Yes, it’s focused on a U.S. audience, because it’s a U.S. regulation. I invite you Kiwis to read and have a laugh at our expense, because it does show how ridiculous our politics can be.

If you are interested in something less comedic, I have a new post at my second blog:

Wishing everyone a safe and productive rest of their day.

I find that men can be critical of a woman showing too little emotion in group decision-making processes. Some men seem to automatically expect a woman to represent the emotive, caring, side of an argument (maybe so as they don’t have to themselves). A delegation of sorts.

A woman can be seen as ‘hard’ whereas a man presenting the same argument would be regarded as a first-rate rational thinker.

    Hi Tracy,

Thanks for that thought! You bring out something I hadn’t even really considered in my post. In fact, it almost deserves its own post LOL.

And yes as you mentioned on my blog – the post is probably a little too long xD
