Going graciously

Dear Aaron,

Thank you for the gracious way in which you expressed yourself in your personal statement to parliament today.

The opposition and media who were hoping for fireworks would have been disappointed.

I am sure party members, both the volunteers and MPs, would have appreciated it.

You aren’t the only one who has learned from this experience and that is the silver lining to what has been a very cloudy couple of weeks.

I hope you find work that makes use of your undoubted skills and that the path you take from now leads to both happiness and success.

Yours sincerely

    Very generous.

Well they tore him apart big time, it was neither pretty nor edifying.

John Key managed it well I thought while that clown David Shearer showed what an empty vessel he is once again when he tried to claim that Aaron Gilmore’s problems where John Key’s fault in some way.

None of this advances the things that really matter which is to develop the Nation into a place where our kids will want to raise our Grandchildren and to be able to do so in relative prosperity

For Shearer to suggest he would be taking the popcorn and coke for what was a really sad day in New Zealand politics and about as traumatic an event for anyone to ever confront, reveals again how totally unsuited he is to lead our Nation.
He was missing empathy, humility, gravitas without considering such meaty things as statesmanship, leadership and basic humanity.

To Aron Gilmore you did the right thing and you did yourself proud.
Keep up the forgiveness meme it is the best for you as you go forward.

“For Shearer to suggest he would be taking the popcorn and coke for what was a really sad day…”

And in addition to the popcorn and coke there was that plastic smile again for the camera. It wasn’t an appropriate moment to turn it on….(smile, not camera).
