In early 1944 the REd Army inflicted a major defeat upon the Germans during the Battle of Korsun or more properly the Battle of the Korsun-Cherkassy Pocket.
There was however an earlier Battle of Korsun – another battle of great historical import.

GD. 7.35pm also – difficult to understand. Ellis closes out a game better than any other half back in NZ at present and is in the best form of his career. I would have him.
