    (1) I don’t know
    (2) Similes are metaphors with a comparison operator. Tricky to express but using words like “‘as” or “like” in their construction
    (3) A song rats! Chanson Damour has kicked off in my head, it’ll be there all afternoon no doubt

    2 A metaphor is more of an implicit device while a simile requires “as” or “like.” eg RG behaves “like a gibbering baboon!”

    By Dennis Glover saw the stage adaption at CHCH Court Theatre, quite emotional for me and more so Mrs Gd, we both knew men who were psychologically damaged by WW2.

    I watched Sam when he was in Nelson,trying to call in Minstrel as the hound wandered across the street outside Elco Boswick’s cafe,
    Minstrel! Minstrel!!
    The dog took no notice at all!
    I visited Sam’s estuary-side ‘crib-come-boat-shed’ at Bottle Creek years later. Nice spot.
