    First crossed my Radar as the allied fortress in the Med that the Axis could not kill and its heroic stand by “Faith”, “Hope” and “Charity”, 3 Glocester Gladiator prewar biplanes that stood against the Itallian Air force in the early days of the Axis offensive in the Med. The seemingly impenetrable efforts led the Ities to believe the capability of the defense was much greater than it was. They did have a 4th plane in reserve Ha Ha
    The Island was awarded a George Cross.

    Brings back memories of being chased around the ” GUT ” and caught by the local constabulary after pushing a piano through a wall, because they would not let me sing.
