2. Bay of Islands (not one of the well known places like Paihia or Russell though – I know it was in a bay but that’s all)
3. Dickens, probably, although this has the whiff of a trick question about it.
4. Bethlehem
5. If its a carol: ‘Once in Royal DAvid’s City’ – if its a song, the Pogues ‘Fairy Tale of New York’

2) Somewhere in the Bay of Islands? Some additional information: the carol Te Harinui which featured inyour quiz a week or two ago commemorates this first Christmas service.
3) I guess Dickens.
4) Depends what you mean by home town. I regard New Plymouth as my home town, ‘though I don’t live there. Bethelem is where Joseph’s family came from, but Nazareth is where Joseph and Mary were living.
5) Adeste Fideles
My best wishes for a happy Christmas, and a peaceful New Year. And thank you for the year’s blogging, Ele.
