First French jockey to win Melbourne Cup

Gerald Mosse who rode Americain to victory in the Melbourne Cup is the first Frenchman to win the race in 150 years.

Maluckyday (my pick for third) was second and the favourite So You Think was third.

We weren’t far away HP. It looks like he ran a good race and Jim Cassidy did say it may be a year too soon for him. Perhaps if Cassidy had stayed on him it might have been a different story too.

Perhaps me no perhapses, PDM – that’s how the TAB makes money.

I didn’t have a clue about the horse’s chances, I just liked the name.

Don’t woryy HP I know all about that – I have been backing horses some fast a lot slower for about 50 years.

Put him in your little book for next year. If he is half as good as Kiwi he will be bigger faster and stronger.
