Hmmm. Ulysses is on my never-read-and-unlikely-to list so I’m not sure that’s what I wanted to find out.
I tried another piece of prose and found out:

I recognise the name but haven’t read any of her books.

I tried again and found:

I gave up.

    A journalist friend says he put in some really down-market material (for a really down-market publication) and was told he writes like PG Wodehouse.

    I,ve been writing articles for years but never had a hankering to try a novel.
    Got progressively more disillusioned as Editors refused to let the truth get in the way of a good story.
