HUGE BeachBoys fan here. Lost count of the number of times I’ve bought Pet Sounds – vinyl, cassette, CD (at least three times incl the 30th Anniversary), the 1997 box set, DVD-A, and I have Brian performing it live on CD and DVD. I didn’t even know it was Bruce’s birthday..lol
I seem to be in one of those periods where I don’t listen to them much, although I had to download from iTunes the new stereo version of Don’t Worry Baby from the latest compilation, Summer Love Songs (the new stereo mix of Time To Get Alone is good from that album as well).

mrs pdm said during the week that she had heard where they are doing another tour. Hope to catch them in London if they do.
We saw them at `The Mission’ a few years ago – one of the very best to perform there.

They were most recently on the American version of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ (strangely, fronted by the guy who does America’s Funniest Videos), along with John Stamos. Mike’s vocal performance is cringeworthy, although he claimed he wasn’t feeling well or had throat problems or something. I guess they are all getting on a bit.
