A couple of years ago in May we were in PNG where the temp was 30 and arrived back in Wellington to snow on the hills and 5 degrees. Shit it was cold!!!!

Maybe a return in November would have given a chance of a warmer welcome home although we had hail on two occasions when camped at CHCH A & P show in mid November in the 70s. One of those storms collapsed the awning on the caravan.
Of course with AGW we will see less of these cold snaps (and before any one gives me a kicking I do understand the difference between weather and climate).
Welcome home.

Just makes you want to go away again, but welcome home Hp.
By the way it is a ‘blue-dome’ sky day here in sunny Rangitikei.
