That is a very fine piece of work.
Lee Hazlewood wrote it and conceived that instantly recognizable sliding run on the double bass that opens the song.
It was the golden age of the “wrecking crew” who members of whom provide the backing. I love the double bass and electric bass playing in unison which was a feature of many of those old records. They didn’t have much in the way of effects boxes in those days – now a days you just dial up the tone – thats progress
Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra recorded many duets together some very good others well shall we say forgettable.
