Technical question

Some blogs have RSS feeds in the sidebar which change place so the most recent is at the top.

If anyone knows how to do this and can provide instructions in  ETC (English-for-the-Technically Challenged) the happiness fairy will shower you with happy dust.

Like the ‘Some Places I Visit’ on my blog?

In your blog Dashboard / Layout, add a gadget ‘Blog List’, give it a nice name, and then add the addresses of the blogs you need in the list. They automatically move up and down depending on latest activity.

Except for FFM who remains (rightly?) at the bottom because he does not date his posts any more…

Ele, blogger widgets support this feature perhaps the WordPress widgets do as well.

If not you will have to write your own not all that easy but not way hard either.

I use the plug-in “WP Social blog roll” but I don’t know if that is available on WordPress.com (I use .org because I have my own domain). You simply select the display as “blogger” and activate the javascript option (which sorts the feed)
