Uh oh 018 # 2

A message told me the number I’d dialed was no longer in use.

I phone 018 to get the new one.

I explained I wasnted an Oamaru number, gave the first and last names and said I didn’t know the address.

“Which suburb is it in?” the call-centre bloke asked.

“Oamaru is a wee town, it doesn’t have suburbs,” I replied.

He told me he didn’t have a number for anyone of that name in Oamaru.

I said “Oh”. Then I asked if he was sure.

He was.

“No-one by that name at all?” I asked.

“I do have someone by that name in Oamaru North,” he said.

Sigh.

This is what happens when you export services which require local knowledge.

But your party are the cheerleaders for closing NZ down and sending all our jobs overseas.

Hang on a minute Pony that was happening with the last administration and IMO is economics driven not political
RR the same problem occurs with white pages unless you input so much info the inquiry is almost solved, just make an educated guess. The service is shite

Poneke – that may be your interpretation but it’s not right.

    RR – Telecom doesn’t own 018.

GD – You’re right A& if the eocnomic environment had been better under Labour there would be better business opportunities here.

Poneke, I’m pretty sure John Key has never said he wants to close NZ down and send the jobs overseas. I’m pretty sure in fact that he said he wanted to close the income gap with Australia.

What you’ve said is just a slogan, I don’t really understand what you really even mean by it. Are you talking about offshoring? Outsourcing? Allowing increased imports? Which of those things do you believe that the National Party is actively encouraging, that weren’t also encouraged by the Labour Party. Which of those things do you think are bad? Then we could have some sort of discussion, rather than “National Bad, Labour Good”, which is about what your statement amounts to at the moment.
