    It is a date of ill omen.

    Two other anniversaries: Hitler invading Russia in 1941; and Muldoon imposing the wage/price freeze in 1982.

    Didn’t know it was also Prunella Scales’ birthday. She’s brilliant. As good as Judi Dench.
