I think its become the “Dept of the Sacred Cow(s)”.
Quite simply its become a nerve centre of Labour Party research and ideology.. and why not? It was the price of a political coalition so Labour made the best of it.. and to its own specifications. The fuss being made at the moment of this essential non entity shows that its ideology is threatened by Rankin and Pilbrow, not its function.
