National has had a small gain and Labour a small loss in the latest Herald-Digi poll.
National with 55.4% gained .5 of a percentage points and is 24.6 points ahead of Labour which dropped 1.6 points to 30.8%.
This is a reversal, albeit small, on three polls released recently which all showed Labour gaining support at National’s expense.
The Greens with 5.5% support were the only other party to cross the 5% threshold needed to enter parliament without winning a seat.
However, the intersting – and worrying – result is New Zealand First on 4.1% and WInston Peters of 4.9% for preferred Prime Minister.
The poll results have a margin of error of 3.5 per cent and 14.3% of the 770 voters questioned remain undecided.
