Now I don’t want to be Scrooge trying to steal Christmas but this comment should be made.
The sharemarkewt is going through a purple patch,we have had the MRP float and people are starting to talk about shares as an alternative to low fixed interest rates. Next thing we’ll have share clubs starting again.
There is a famous saying in investment circles,’When the bellboy starts talking about shares its time to get out’.In 1987 I had 13 year old approach me at school asking my opinions of certain shares. That is really dangerous !! Granted today there is much less hype in the paper.
Exuberance in the market is a sign that it probably is too late to get in the market. Rather at the depths of financial despair is the time. You do the opposite to what the mere mortals do.Don’t be a Lemming.
Investors be careful looking for those shares with a great dividend yield – >7%. It may be that the share price is cheap for a good reason – that the price is about to tumble. End of the dividend !
I have been in the sharemarket for 40 years, was a near millionaire until October 20 1987 and then started to work on my share ownership. Experience is a great thing.
As a shareholder you are like an owner in any business. You have a stake in the company, you are not in a casino. It’s 99% research and hard but rewarding work and one percent luck.
If you don’t want to put any money at risk don’t go into shares. However if you find you can, it’s a stimulating and worthwhile project. It’s great fun !!!!!!!

Nice quote :) I particularly love her statements about minorities and individual rights.

So – two pieces to share:

    http://tiffany267.wordpress.com/2013/05/11/outsourcing-may-solve-portugals-unemployment

The EU is doing all this ridiculous nonsense trying to save Greece, Spain, Portugal, etc. – yet capitalism is saving Portugal all by itself! How about that? It’s as though *GASP* there were an invisible hand at play!

The other piece I’m sharing mostly just because you’re in NZ:

    http://tiffany267.wordpress.com/2013/05/10/new-zealand-marriage-equality-law-clear-on-trans-and-intersex-people

I thought this policy sounded rather promising. It shouldn’t make an ounce of difference if you’re female, male, intersex, transgender, or something else for that matter. A civil contract between two consenting adults should be honored in every case.

Cheers and have a lovely weekend!

You’re and adult don’t know the difference between male/female couplings and all the rest?

    Really?

The last gasp of a dying culture too decadent, self indulgent and plain stupid to grasp the fundamentals of human reproduction.
