The Aussies unashamedly love their racing hence their industry thrives and is attracting so many of our jockeys and trainers with much better money. Here there is an air of wowserism around gambling that hurts the industry.
I imagine Winston Peters, once our Minister of Racing, will be screaming that Chinese should not be allowed to own New Zealand bred, or trained, racehorses.
