Dipton’s Double Dipper might also fit the bill, as would Goff-off, Brownlee, Silent T, in fact basically 99% of the rest of the members of Parliament (surely 1 out of the 120 recognises they are a conceited b’stard hell bent on controlling everyone else)
Robert, is that another fail for the teaching profession – children not knowing who the Prime Minister is or what he does? I hope they have added Civics to the National Standards. Might have to write to Anne and suggest it.
It might be important for the Left too in about 20 years time when they get over being nasty and become electable again?
Ross – having ‘Civics’ taught in schools is something I’ve long promoted. In fact, just last week I was invited to speak to a group of 30 students about our political system and it’s permutations. I was delighted to accept the invitation.
The Greens, btw, have been suggesting the teaching of ‘Civics’ for a long time now. If the frazzled Ms Tolley hasn’t considered the idea yet, she’s well behind the play.
are we talking Winston here?
If the cap fits you’re welcome to put it on him.
Or John Key, who seemingly says one thing in public, but another when in a glass fronted cafe….
Definitely one Winston Peters, Pensioner of Auckland!
Not mesmerised, Deborah?
Don’t go all gooey?
That smile? Those eyes?
All that money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$?

“Mr Key was mobbed by schoolchildren as he opened the triathlon and signed hundreds of t-shirts.
One pupil remarked: “I’m never going to clean my t-shirt ever again.”
Other children squealed at John Key but when asked what he did, did not know.”

Before anyone could possibly be qualified to teach “civics” one would first need to learn to be civil.
PS What is “civics” as a subject, a pseudonym for?
