There’s not much danger of Mana (the party) being confused with mana (the description of character) but could it be confused with Mana (the electorate)?
It’s not the first party to use Mana in it’s name. But they both had another word in their name – Mana Motuhake and Mana Wahine which reduced the possibility of confusion.

With the integration of the English and Maori language ‘mana’ has assumed a place in the everyday language of NZ as representing respect, leadership, authority and other traits that in no way represent in my eyes what the racist, separatist, and now ultra socialist philosophy that Hatfield’s ragtag bunch espouse. I always believed that mana was earned bestowed or just came with wisdom and leadership therefore when this coterie of wannabes seek to cloak themselves with a word that portrays much diabolically opposed to what they actually are in the eyes of many of the voters, I say no way Jose, Hone, John, Jacques or Josephine!
Remind me again when the by election is and this party has to be registered for it.
