    One for Wikipedia..

    1944 Brazilian troops in Italy..

    I was always under the impression that South America was neutral..

    Brazil had 25000 in Italy and Mexico had Aircraft in the Philippines.

    Wikipedia does sometimes get it right – and I sometimes get it wrong. If Wikipedia is to be trusted on this, the liberation was in 1945 not 1944.

    1944 was the year of Brazils entry and committment of troops

    I have never heard of their or Mexico’s involvement before..
