It used to take years to get from one Christmas to the next but I’d swear the last one was only a few weeks ago.

When you are five, one year is 1/5 of your whole life and around 1/3 of your concious memory. when you are 50 however one year is 2% and when you are approaching 70 then it is bugger all, notwithstanding memory loss which could mean what the hell is Christmas anyway.
